Jack MacDonald’s review published on Letterboxd:
TIFF #3
I did not expect to like this movie nearly as much as I did. It’s a pointed piece about forgiveness and growth that you can tell is helmed by a director who respects Mr. Rogers and wants to show the importance of his lessons. This takes a totally atypical and stylistically different approach to the biopic, which I would hesitate to even call this movie. Rather than trying to simply tell his story, A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood captures the essence Fred Rogers and turns his words into action.
