It's always cool to see Classical Hollywood directors sneaking deeper meaning/symbolism into their films being that they were always heavily reviewed and censored by the MPAA and major studios. Good on you John Huston!
This movie is fucking amazing. Punch-Drunk Love feels like the film that would be created by an over caffeinated, sleep deprived, slightly on the spectrum, and schizophrenic screen play writer. And thankfully it works so very well! The movie watches like a Jackson Pollock painting looks. Throughout the film, characters moods swing dramatically and sometimes without warning.
