I don't think there's a clear definition of what a hidden gem is, so I'll just list the movie I've rated the highest from each year that meets the following threshold:
- 21st century: <10k views
- 1929-1999: <5k views
-1915-1928: <3k views

Obviously this method doesn't guarantee that I'll have something insanely good for every year, but it's a decent start. At least I'll know which years to grind next.

Keeping this list up to date is gonna be a bit tricky for sure, I'll probably just end up updating it every time I find a new movie that belongs on it.

Needless to say, I'm including everything from short films, experimental/avant-garde stuff, opera performances, extended cuts of existing movies, etc.

P.S.: I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the fact that I had at least something at 4 stars or more for almost every year (only seven years at 3.5 and nothing below). Way better than I was initially expecting.
