Bryan Sudfield’s review published on Letterboxd:
Malignant is absolutely bonkers. Anchored by a terrific performance from Annabelle Wallis, the newest James Wan horror flick is tension-filled and contains a skew of unpredictable twists and turns. It kept going into directions I didn’t anticipate and I was left with goosebumps, especially during that third act. The climatic twist, like the ones you’d see in a Shyamalan film, will make or break this for you. It won’t win over everyone, but it certainly impressed me.
You’ll be hearing a lot of people discuss Malignant for how wild of a ride it is. This is a film you’ll need to see just to experience for yourself. It felt great seeing Wan direct a horror film again.
