Very different movies but generally I had the same reaction as with The Aviator - a perfectly pleasant and competent movie by a master that I know is capable of more interesting stuff and which hits a higher gear once Leo's character comes unhinged. The gradual change from lying to survive to lying becoming your entire, hollow being is the best part of the central narrative, with the magnetic Leo and the square Hanks both very good, obviously. Wouldn't be near the top of my Spielberg rankings but that's not a huge knock.
