  Understands the slasher genre better than any of the Fear Street films did. And while it’s not perfect it manages to balance the sheen of its YA allure with some really gnarly kills. I also loved the concept of the “secret party” as the kids tried to get out in front of the killer’s motivations. I guess it reminded me of Cherry Falls a bit.
