Annette 2021
It is a portrait of a couple, their art and their fame that eventually evolves into a character study of a man spiraling into nothing, and, ultimately, the film is about baby Annette herself: a child exploited by people still chasing what they almost had, never to be seen as anything more than a wooden puppet to be used.

Nine Days 2020
Although this premise is exceptionally promising, the film never reaches the heights of this promise. It fails to enter the areas of depth possible with this premise and even carries itself with a sort of profoundness it never attains. To make matters worse, there is a jarring disconnect between the film and the viewer as you wait for a chord of depth to be struck while the story presupposes to have already done so.

I know how big your dick is son
Lmao, “edgy Christian film” is the newest addition to weird Mark Wahlberg dramas no one will see.
It’s a shame because there is a ton of solid lines (like that could be hilarious), but Mark isn’t quite funny enough on his own, and with no director to decently frame it comedically, it all falls flat and awkwardly.
There’s a scene that isn’t supposed to be funny where he gets thrown off…
