That escalated quickly
It was a bit of a slow burn but it absolutely pays off in a haunting and intense final act. It managed to avoid any padding and got straight to story and characters, fleshing out arcs and adding tiny details that play a larger role.
You can tell this was a bit of a passion project and you can just see how much effort and commitment has gone into it from the cast and crew ranging from the acting to the shots that aren't afraid to hold on a scene to really let it soak in
It was a nice change of pace from the current multiverse story in marvel. It was good seeing them explore a fantasy/mythology area of the MCU and it introduced some cool new characters and had some good female representation. The fight scenes kept me glued to the screen, the final act was 👌👌 and it felt like good payoff and i cant wait to see more of shang-chi going forward
10/10 after credit scene and I'm ngl I forgot I was watching a marvel film for most of it.
Everything about this is top tier stuff. From the acting to the story to the costumes.
It somehow finds a new way each episode to make chess intense and exciting. The characters and story are well-crafted and it does an amazing job at drawing you in and keeping you along for the ride.
I somehow binged this in one day and i didn't take my eyes off the screen for a second 👌👌
