Caleb’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lola Kirke - my celeb crush at the time from watching her in the wonderful Mozart in the Jungle on Amazon Prime - driving a Tesla to a sexy synth score through a neon-kissed downtown LA in what appears to be a neo-noir Hollywood murder mystery?? When I first saw the trailer I knew this was a movie made just for me.
A year later and sadly this was not all I’d hoped it would be. While it does have a very nice visual style, it is executed quite poorly with terrible dialogue and absolutely ridiculous character motivations and actions. The suspects didn’t know how to act and the police were terrible at their job. And the way the whole thing wraps up is just so stupid. Lola Kirke, Zoë Kravitz, John Cho, sweeties, I’m so sorry.
