Caleb’s review published on Letterboxd:
Vapid and boring. I don’t know if the point was to make characters just as hollow and phony as the real-life people they’re based on. If so, Gilroy certainly hit his mark. Problem is, in order for any of this movie to work, you need to at least care about the characters. I was really just indifferent towards all of them. They didn’t do anything to really make me dislike them and therefore cheer for their deaths and they didn’t do anything to make me like them and feel bad about their deaths. That said, Jake Gyllenhaal carries the entire production on his very muscular back.
