    Your Name.

First thing’s first: Amazing visuals. The art here is stunning and accurate and [WAAAAA] I have no words. It made me feel like I was back in Japan. Way too good.

Great adapted screenplay, beautiful costume and production design, brilliant performances by a star-studded cast (I love that Bob Odenkirk was the dad! Super random but it made my viewing experience better), and directed with emotional precision. I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

"Aswang," ha! Such a fitting title that the Philippines’ fiercest monster is the metaphor for the monsters that govern this suffering nation. It’s disturbing how death, hopelessness and fear are second nature to the poorest of the poor in my country. If you want an honest peek into the injustice that plagues today’s Philippines, this is a good place to start. Raw stories of real lives under this ridiculous regime. This left me angry, yearning for change and justice.
