*Watched in B&W version*
I think this is the film i would pay the most money to watch for the first time again.
Watching the Black and White version really creates a more intimate and analysis driven experience. With the colours stripped back it allowed me to really focus on the themes at play, the characters etc. without being distracted by the vibrant colours (cinematography still looks fantastic). The contrast between the semi-basement home and the mansion aswell is incredible in B&W and really makes you think this film was meant to be seen in B&W but simultaneously it’s also amazing in colour aswell. I bet if i watched this film on mute or without subtitles or with one eye closed it would still hold up.
