Calvin Kemph 🤠’s review published on Letterboxd:
A nice long drive in a pretty red Saab. The past passes by the windows, as confessions and secrets of the past paint a grief stricken picture of the present. Again, a long drive. You’re stuck in for a good three leisurely hours, that are excruciatingly well plotted, based on a Murakami story. Ryusuke Hamaguchi Has great confidence in the material and enough in himself to make for a lovely travel partner of a director. It may not be accessible, but you will be rewarded for what you put in, and that’s the very best kind of discovery.
