Kinda a problem when your least favourite part of a musical is the musical numbers (the Shipp/Hudgens number is good but stylistically feels like an not very good MV). LMM’s direction is atrocious. I appreciated Andrew Garfield’s enthusiasm but I could never really get into Larson’s journey because of the lacklustre storytelling. Robin de Jesús is probably the best part of the film.
