The film is visually stunning and the political satire is funny. As vampire film, it does not bring anything really new to the table. Maybe the film should have shown the crimes of Pinochet for an audience who don't know his sinister figure.
A solid adaptation of the novel with a great cast and a good sens of modernization. It maybe lacks a bit of epicness, I think its due to the voiceover and the fact we don't see the whole city of Paris but just a small microcosm.
