I rewatched this with a close friend and that was nice.
This movie is still pretty amazing. It’s weird tho because sometimes I love it and sometimes I think it’s ok. I’m feeling good about it right now tho so as of
Right this second, I’d say it’s the 3rd best Star Wars film. I just can’t get over the fact on how well Luke was handled. Yeah I love seeing my favorite Star Wars character swing his green lightsaber around but I will always prefer a meaningful story arc over mindless action. I feel like Rian knew what he was doing with Luke and I love how that backstory is told 3 times. I could go on and on about the storytelling in this film but I’m kinda sleepy. Regardless, Luke in this movie is perfect and I think him getting an arc of failure and learning to pick himself up and help the resistance escape at the end is the greatest thing I want to see from his character, honestly ever. The very fact that when he arrives on Crait and no one else dies in the movie except for him proves how much of a real ass jedi he is.
This movie is almost perfect, like if they hadn’t gone to space Vegas this movie would be a fucking 10/10
But they did go there so
It’s a 9/10, best Star Wars movie since empire tbh
