Cameron McMurdie’s review published on Letterboxd:
2nd of October Halloween Horror Film Fest
This was really good fun - felt like a weird mixture of Festen, Get Out and You're Next, with some Evil Dead like cartoon gore and a weird Cabin in the Woods like ending. Loved the dark humour, thrilling/ tense sequences and the over-the-top gore. Also, the performances, particularly by game performers, Adam Brody, Andie McDowell and newcomer, Samara Weaving were great fun.
It didn't re-invent the horror genre or anything, but it was still very good nonetheless.
