  It's fun to pretend that Viggo Mortensen's character in this is actually Aragorn having stepped into an alternate dimension. Why shouldn't the king walk around nude in a trailer park and dig up dead bodies?

  Making a film in 1973 set in 1936 would be the equivalent of setting a movie in 1985 today... which is mind boggling.

  The Sting would've effortlessly played on the nostalgia of its original audience.
