”It's a carcaradon carcharias.”
Look Martin, there have been all kinds of shark movies in the theaters. Open Water, The Shallows, Deep Blue Sea, The Reef, The Meg, Sharknado, And the chances that these bozos are anywhere as good as Jaws is a hundred to one. A HUNDRED TO ONE. Now, I am saying that this is the best shark movie ever made. It positively is, Martin. It positively is. It was the first blockbuster and it was extremely rare for its day, and the fact is, the thrill radius on this movie is different than the grip marks I get with any of those other films…. I just… I want to be sure… we all want to be sure, okay, and what I want to do is very simple. The critiques of this film are very very broad… Let’s cut it open and re-analyze everything that’s ever been written in the last 45 years and then we’ll be sure.
It may be the only way to confirm it, huh?
Look fellas, let’s be reasonable… This is not the time or the place to perform some kind of a half-assed autopsy on a fish movie. I am not going to stand here and see that thing cut open and see all those little Ebert wannabes spill out all over the Letterboxd....
”You're gonna need a bigger boat.”
