Spider-Man: Far from Home

Spider-Man: Far from Home ★★★

Gyllenhaal's celebration speech is one of the most awkward examples of plot exposition I have ever seen.

Seriously, he might as well just stopped, looked at the camera and said, "Alright everybody let me tell you what's going on and then we can get started on the next act." In fact, I'm surprised he didn't have a whiteboard handy to help illustrate some of his points.

Other thoughts:

1. On this trip these kids have already been through two major events when everything starts happening again in London. Why are they hanging around on the top deck of that bus?!? Heck, if there were a slight chance of a mild lightning storm I'd be hoofing it to the lower deck pronto!

2. Apparently, in the event of a crisis, it's incredibly easy to make your way to the crown jewel's vault and lock yourself in. I can't believe more Londoners haven't thought to do this.

3. Maybe it's just me, but if you're a super hero trying to protect your true identity, then perhaps after a major battle the act of standing in the middle of a bridge with your suit on and your mask off while having an extended conversation is not the best strategy.
