Wes’s review published on Letterboxd:
My soul has left my body and has been sold to Paul Thomas Anderson. I didn't know what I was expecting, but I wasn't ready for how absolutely delirious, hilarious, and front-to-back twisted this gets. Like how Reynolds crafts his dresses, PTA sews in the tiniest details that only add to the insanity, and hes crafted a film that could only get more rewarding with each viewing. Daniel Day Lewis of course embodies the role completely, but Vicky Krieps is honestly shocking. She enters territory that had me (and many others in the audience) reeling and squealing in delight at the directions she takes. She gives quite possibly the best performance of 2017 and if there's any justice, she'll be talked about here for quite some time. Also would make for a great first date movie.
