gabriel guimarães?’s review published on Letterboxd:
A recipe for a glorious review of Singin' in the Rain:
- "Usually I hate musicals, but..."
- Call it a 'timeless classic'
- Don't forget to talk about the onscreen chemistry
- Say you cried your eyeballs out or something. It's a heartwarming romance, after all
- Compliment the choreography and humor
- "Unforgettable songs"
- If you're going for a post-modern approach to your review, add it's 'a meta critique of Hollywood'
- Feed the urban legend that they used milk in the rain (it's fake, guys!)
- Mourn over the fact that this wasn't even nominated for Best Picture
How come I had never seen this before? (this isn't part of the recipe, but if you haven't seen this yet you really should)
