    I'm Thinking of Ending Things

So I started the book yesterday and finished it today because I wanted to watch the movie (I have this thing where if a movie I’m interested in is being adapted from a book, I’ll want to read the book first). And I don’t know why I was expecting this to be a one-to-one retelling of the book, cause it’s not. Though it’s actually fairly close (in structure/order of events, more than anything), this is a Charlie Kaufman movie through…

  • The Vast of Night

    The Vast of Night

I really dug this. The atmosphere and performances are everything. The music was great, too. I also thought this would’ve made for a very cool pilot for a Twin Peaks/Stranger Things type of show since I liked the characters, setting, and story enough to want to see more, but as a movie and a complete story I thought it worked very well.

Also, this and Midnight Special should switch titles.

  • Miss Americana

    Miss Americana

I’m not a massive Taylor Swift fan, I only really  started listening to her music a couple of months ago, but I have a lot of respect for her and it’s nice to see her doing better and see how much she’s grown as a person. This was a very endearing watch.
    I-Imma go stream Lover now.

  • Greener Grass

  • The Irishman

    The Irishman

The cool thing about this movie is that you can avoid replying to people for an indefinite amount of time; days, weeks, months— literally as long as you want, and when you finally feel like replying, you just have to say “sorry, I finally finished The Irishman,” and they’ll understand, they can’t get mad. Issa free pass baby. Thanks, Scorsese.

  • Return of the Jedi

    Return of the Jedi

    Vader, man :’)

  • Die Hard

    Die Hard

Is there really a debate? This definitely counts as a Christmas movie.

  • The Double

    The Double

    Yorgos Lanthimos, is that you?

  • Shazam!

I really expected Blitzkrieg Bop to play in the credits.

  • Spider-Man: Far from Home

    Spider-Man: Far from Home

All I wanted was Jake Gyllenhaal in the MCU, so thanks, god.

Also the post credits scene is BY FAR the best post credits scene in the MCU I was so happy.

  • Wonder Boys

    Wonder Boys

"Sometimes people just need to be rescued"

  • John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum

Definitely the weakest of the 3 for me but I also think this movie had the most “Jesus fucking Christ” moments of the 3. The action was just so good.
