SUMMERING is a wholesome and charming feature from James Ponsoldt that sees a group of young girls not just confront their upcoming transition to middle school but also a dead body they discovered. While not everything lands, this adventure has enough personality and heart to overall work well with the sense of childhood wonder coming across rather strong. All the child actors are also impressive!

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS is messy but man can it be fun! While the lifeless shell of the recent MCU can be felt here and there, the film is thankfully saved overall by Sam Raimi who returns to his brutal horror roots and Elizabeth Olsen who is a fucking queen!

Venom: Let There Be Carnage 2021
VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE is pure fucking chaos in the best of ways. Both more dumb and fun than the original, the incredibly clean runtime helps the film stay fresh and Harrelson is a total riot. Won’t be for everyone but damn did I have fun!
