I had to go watch the original ending on Youtube and it is the better conclusion for sure. A good movie without it, a great movie with it. Rick Moranis had an amazing career for the time we had him, one that since has become underrated.

One of the most ridiculous movies I have ever seen; "Pumpkin" is filled with dark humor that may only connect with few. Upon the realization of the films intentions, I switched from laughing at it, to laughing with it. The biggest laugh came from a car crash sequence that ends with a character saying "Now I'm just like him".
