After finally giving this a rewatch months after my original viewing, I can say with confidence that this is the best Star Wars since Empire Strikes Back. It felt like a huge improvement for the franchise and gave it a distinct feeling from the originals with the high stakes action and emotional character arcs. Even with it’s minor flaws it manages to outrank almost every installment that came before. It incorporated the best things about the franchise while adding so much more to it, causing it to be the most polarizing one yet.
