    I am actually in awe. This is the modern Best In Show, Spinal Tap, etc. 

    It’s so relentlessly funny. The first 45 minutes of the film is an avalanche of laughs, just building and building on itself. 

    The quickness with which the film moves is amazing. The run-and-gun cinematography is perfect, likely catching some of their genuine interactions and reactions when the kids weren’t expecting it. The care and affection the film clearly has for the campers is heartwarming.

    Maybe I’m crazy but I thought this was really fun!!

    The movie might be extremely confused in what it’s trying to say, it might be full of inconsistencies (like, come on, is he “just a man” or is he a supernatural embodiment of evil who can *redacted*), the ending might be incredibly clunky, and Michael Myers might not even have 10 full minutes of screen time, but for once the story is unique and unpredictable.

    There’s not a single thing I enjoyed about this movie. I didn’t care about any of it. It was so unpleasant it gave me a headache.

    I can’t judge how good the performances were, because in the writing the characters don’t even resemble human beings.

    My dad put it best, “the movie is so smug, you can tell it thinks it’s high art, or maybe even the greatest movie ever made.”
