Curtis’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's not super difficult to believe that this was scripted by the same writers who penned Ed Wood, as it does follow some similar beats. But it's definitely its own thing, energized by Eddie Murphy's performance as Rudy Ray Moore and the array of friends and colleagues he gathers to help bring his dreams, and theirs, to life.
It's a situation where I don't know how much of this is based in reality and how much came from the screenwriters' imagination, but by the end credits, I didn't care. For the story it's telling, the ending should be happy. This Rudy's earned it.
