Cary NewYorker’s review published on Letterboxd:
Ok, we haven’t had an enjoyable f’ked up teen revenge comedy on the level of “Cruel Intentions” and “Mean Girls” in a long while, but while “Do Revenge” aspires to “Strangers on a Train” but it reaches no higher than “Throw Momma from the Train” and is just as clunky, because I saw the plot twist coming from minute ten.
All the actors have been playing high school students for the last ten years and they can’t make these unlikeable, stuck up mannequins relatable in any way. The resolution is also completely unconvincing. Someone please give Maya Hawke a good role before she becomes a one-hit wonder.
