    Sound of Metal

Beethoven wrote some of his most powerful pieces after he started losing his hearing. Story goes that he would compose by feeling the vibrations by holding a pencil with his teeth and touching the strings. As a result, Beethoven’s later pieces eschewed the wide range of frequencies that his earlier pieces would contain, instead favoring sounds from the lower registers that produced a much more solemn and, to a certain extent, angry sound. Perhaps his most famous piece, Piano Sonata No.…

    The power of animation!

  • Soul

Beautifully animated with an inspiring story...Pixar never fails to deliver.

    Wonder Woman 1984

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Everyone is harping on Barbara’s wish to be a cat but it makes perfect sense. The whole movie is an allegory to the development of 4th wave feminism, and Barbara’s transformation into a cat is the perfect device to illustrate this.

Barbara’s ultimate demise (or ascendence, depending on your perspective) at the pool of water is an ode to the foremost feminist anthem of the 21st century. By submerging herself in water, Barabara ultimately becomes the Wet Ass Pussy.

    Actions apparently have no consequences.

Stylistic choreography and effects on top of a well-intentioned yet timid and corny story that lacks the heart of the original.

But damn does Gal Gadot look good in everything. Onesie? Killed it. Oversized suit? Perfection. Covered in golden armor? What men dream about.

Though I still can’t stop thinking about the fact that Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen were called in to relearn Gal Gadot’s accent and read 3 lines.

  • Ava

Have you wondered what would happen if A-listers acted in a direct-to-video release?

  • Mulan

    Now that’s chefs miss

  • Mulan

The original Mulan was a goofy movie with serious moments.

The new one is a serious movie with goofy moments. Except it sucks.

Go watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon instead if you’re looking for an authentically Chinese movie

Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions

    Music: 10/10, Taylor Swift: 10/10

But also not really sure what this was trying to be. A concert movie? A live album? A documentary on the making of the album? All of the above?
