  • A Quiet Place Part II

    A Quiet Place Part II

    ★★★

Krasinski really tried to do a Nolan crosscut!

The biggest faux pas of the sequel is that they had Cillian Murphy but decided to give him a mountain beard. I watched this movie to see that jawline.

  • WeWork: or The Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn

WeWork: or The Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn

    ★★★

Solid documentary that shows the rise and fall of WeWork through the human story, but I felt like it could’ve gone deeper in the financial engineering and salesmanship tactics that led to WeWork being one of the most bloated startups to have ever existed.

  • The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

    ★★★

    It’s just kinda...flat?

  • Godzilla vs. Kong

    Godzilla vs. Kong

    ★★★

    Watch this for the plot

  • Zack Snyder's Justice League

    Zack Snyder's Justice League

    ★★★

    It’s better than WW84. But that’s a low bar.

I’ve never seen Joss Whedon’s Justice League, so I won’t be able to compare and contrast the differences between the two versions. I admit that I spent half of the movie asking my brother “was this scene in the original”, and bless his patience because if I were him I would’ve slapped me on the 3rd question.

I will say that I appreciate Snyder’s vision in this story. It felt like…

  • Mank

    Mank

    ★★★

Imagine reading a love letter written by someone you don’t know, addressed to whom you are not yet acquainted. You read this letter and appreciate its diction, style, and form. You admire the author’s beautiful cursive handwriting, and are affected by the tenderness of their strokes. However, your lack of knowledge of neither of the subject nor the writer makes the content of the letter feel empty: you simply aren’t sure what to make of the allegories and metaphors of…

  • Avengers: Age of Ultron

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

    ★★★

My brother told me about this video that talks about the top 10 rarest metals in the Marvel Universe. Number 3 on the list was the material Thor’s hammer is made out of, number 2 was Vibranium, and in first place was Quicksilver’s armor.

Definitely not the worst Marvel movie, but definitely the weakest one out of the four Avengers films.

I think the core issue with this was that there was difference in opinion between Joss Whedon and Kevin…

  • Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

    Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

    ★★★

Batman with guns is probably the most bad ass thing I’ve seen all day

Also did not see the violence coming

  • An Honest Liar

    An Honest Liar

    ★★★

A fascinating man and an impressively layered topic that helps explain some of the most important questions of our time...like how can there be people that believe the earth is flat.

I was a little disappointed in that I felt the documentary could’ve been SO much stronger and better, especially given how great the source material is. Instead it feels a little unfocused and underdeveloped.

RIP James Randi. I hope we as a society will value and continue your work.
