Herald’s review published on Letterboxd:
Welp, there goes eight books worth of content, a waste of talented actors and just in totality a waste of resources.
I've read 3/8 of the books and if this is based on the first book, I've only really seen a lousy fraction of it come to life here with a completely different take on the antagonist. The world building was just straight up lazy. I pray this doesn't receive a sequel.
The pacing and editing of the scenes are just so disappointing. It could have at least been decent had it not felt sooo rushed and disjointed.
I don't know. The action was great but it doesn't feel satisfying. It really doesn't represent the source content well nor does it translate the overall atmosphere that I've felt reading the books.
