well I just really like watching films! :-)

the thing about both of these films is that I 100% understand why someone wouldn’t like them. and I especially understand why a great many people view the sequels in particular as disappointments.
but like. at same time, i genuinely (unfortunately) think that I would defend these films with my life

and I was like ‘yeah’ and went away and thought about nothing else for a year!!!!

god I hate that this film is so polarising. It’s a heavily flawed film with some fantastic scenes and great concepts which are well-executed about 50% of the time. that’s all it is. PLEASE stop going on about it as either a colossal failure or the ‘best star wars film’ (????). it’s just a flawed film. rian johnson is a great director with other near-masterpieces for film twitter to gush about so PLEASE stop going on about this film. also…
