Hold on guys the dumbass wants to speak. Go ahead man, we’re listening!
audience was fucking raucous as bobby shmurda’s name grazed the screen during the opening credits.
probably the best legacy sequel ever by a long shot. leans way more into the melancholy that lingers in nostalgia than the joy for once. fucking dazzling from a technical standpoint as well. i had a blast. bring on #TOPGUNSWEEP !!!!!
this movie’s pacing is horrible. there’s so much meandering and padding on every scene in the first half so they could reach that 90-something minute runtime or whatever it is.
this movie is total fuckin cheeks. it’s genuinely wild that a movie this vapid and quite frankly, unimaginative has alex garland’s name on it.
plenty of other movies in recent years have tackled this shit way better than this does. revenge (2017) is way cooler and way more artful and entertaining than this movie.
A welcome throwback to when blockbusters actually came complete with aspirations and ambition. Kong: Skull Island is a fast-paced romp full of immersive environments, blissfully obnoxious lighting/cinematography, and impressive, grand-scale action sequences. Also it hasn't even been two years and we're already paying homage to Mad Max Fury Road. A more in depth review coming later. Great stuff.
