I have never been able to wrap my head around sports betting. I also do not give a shit about basketball or the personalities therein. But none of that mattered with Uncut Gems.
This was pretty anxiety inducing. I caught myself holding my breath and gripping my armrests more than I have with any other movie I've seen. The length did begin to be felt though but not because it was too much for too long; it was just too many chances and too many confrontation that it got slightly monotonous.
Sandler is phenomenal here. He better get some awards for this. I'm not sure if my ratings on here reflect it, but I think Good Time gets a slight edge.
I kept thinking that was Dolph Lundgren.
