Roger Deakins' cinematography + Sam Mendes' direction = PERFECTION
After the disappointment of Quantum of Solace, I must admit that Skyfall has given me a small thrill. However, after reading the reviews and learning about the film's new director and cinematographer, I decided to give it a try. Fortunately, it far exceeded my expectations. I'm not even a big fan of 007, but this film is extraordinary in a fucking amazing way.
Deakins' cinematography has always been a personal favorite of mine. He always understands the assignment in every project he works on. How I wish I could buy your book to learn more about your methods. If you're reading this, your book would make an excellent Christmas present.
