Murder Party ★★★½

Still very funny - I think the first act and the last act are dark comedy gold - but on repeat viewing (and with more of a crowd) I have to admit that the second act (where the cast sit around and talk about ART interminably) is a slog. I kinda like what Salnier was trying to do - and I love the way that he uses the camera throughout (it's an assured debut) but that second act goes on forever and is more pretentious than funny. That said, seeing the main character in his stupid, cardboard helmet the whole way through the film never gets old - almost every shot that he's in makes me laugh.
