i love how first reformed captures cold and despair, i love the 4:3 aspect ratio, and the writing was sO good (literally 5/5) for about two-thirds of the film and then it drops off for me in the third act and also when it comes to mary's entire character (seriously? Mary??? this is where you can tell the deranged paul schrader who makes disturbing ass fb posts wrote this movie)
