I spend a lot of my free time watching movies.
Visually stunning and enthralling moment to moment. Lowery is definitely comfortable with long takes in silent spaces, at times that can seem a bit forced. I think the film’s at its best when exploring the surreal and meditating on death by confronting the exciting/terrifying nature of the unknown. And it really wears its adaptation status on its sleeve for good reason. That finale is so good!
