Helen Mirren: [frightened whisper] It's Ben!
me: oNE WEEK SINCE YA HAUNTED ME COCKED YOUR GUN IN MY FACE AND SAID IM ANGRY
Anyway seeing the always brilliant Snook act opposite Helen Mirren made me very proud, I dig that this is essentially an anti-gun ghost revenge narrative, and since when is Jason Clarke such a goddamn snacc and a half--
--but unfortunately this movie does n o t know how to be a horror movie, nor does it use half its tools to their full potential, and seems generally confused about what story it's even telling. Enjoyable enough for the genuine chops of its actors but a structural mess with no real suspense or horror to be found.
