  I need to watch this again before rating it. Language is extremely dated and it’s uncomfortable hearing the misconceptions around gender from the cis filmmaker but I’m also grateful for this record of trans life in the 80s. It’s a solid reminder about the recent political fabrication of trans panic because everyone in the film is basically like “yeah I don’t fully get it but this person is my kid/sibling/friend/teacher/boss/coworker etc and I just want to see them happy.”
