1. Zach Rayman was the host for Hunt 55. Watch one of his favorite horror-ish movies.
2. Groundhogs Day: Watch a time-loop movie (or something to do with time) (Groundhog Day themed list)
3. Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me. Watch ANY type of Horror-ish movie and rate if you’d want the villain of that movie to Thrill, Kiss or Kill you… or all of the above.
4. I’m a big Doctor Who fan (my Journey through watching the show). In preparation for it’s 60th anniversary, pick a CHARACTER from the show and a MOVIE that is the same type of character.
• The Doctor (main character) - Time Lord alien so something to do with time or heroes,
• Daleks - any movie with an alien,
• Cyber-Men - robots,
• Silurian - “Earth-lien” lizard-like species who ruled Earth before the Humans,
• Weeping Angels - "kind" murderous psychopaths & whatever happens DO NOT blink! If you anger them, these Angels will go from being “kind” to a cruel killer.
(Example: Time Bandits, Everything Everywhere All at Once - Doctor Who/ Psycho 1960, The Silence of the Lambs - Weeping Angels/ Terminator, Saturn 3 - Cyber-Men/ Arrival - Daleks/ Godzilla - Silurian).
5. The dearly departed: watch a movie with someone who died in 2022. (Examples:… (Village of the Damned 1995, Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan - Kristie Alley) (Gaslight, The Manchurian Candidate, The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Company of Wolves - Angela Lansbury) (Ghostbusters - Ivan Reitman & Kymberly Herrin) (Star Trek - Nichelle Nichols))
6. A lovely spoof on horror.
7. A dedication to my 2 sisters (though we are nothing like Jane & Blanche) - A Sadistic Sisterly Love (or other family demented love)
8. I’m You’re Biggest Fan. (Movie that has to do with something about obsession)
9. “I love you so much I can eat you” (creature feature)
10. Be my choice for this sacrifice ritual (cult horror)
11. “Oh I need your love/ Apparently I must be out of my f**king mind/ Whoa… Shake me, or break me/ Whoa.. I'm on my knees/ Take me, deface me/ Aching for your love/ I am your kinky nasty lady” (Break Me by Lords of Acid). Watch a Dark & Twisted Taboo Romance (any sort of those lovely unhealthy relationships/ horror-ish romance)
12. An Unwanted Bromance (any male friendship) (Examples: The Lost Boys, Strangers on a Train, Swiss Army Man, The Cable Guy)
13. Just you’re typical Single White Female friendship for Galantine’s Day (list of movies with a theme for Single White Female)
14. Happy Bloody Valentine’s Day (any holiday horror movie)
15. I Put a Spell on You ‘Cause You’re Mine! - the honeymoon is over & the romance has turned deadly. (Bride horror/ nightmarish marriage)
16. I love Hallmark moves. So here’s the twist - A Lifetime Murder/ Mystery movie… or any movie that is the opposite of a Hallmark romance. (Here’s some examples from Lifetime tv’s commercials: Good Samaritan or Cyber Stalker, New Neighbor or Crazy Stalker, Plumber or Con-Man?) (Lila & Eve, My Teacher My Obsession, Mother may I sleep w/ danger)
17. My favorite horror monsters.
18. I love the old school Universal Monsters franchise the most. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FRANCHISE? Which is better - the oldies or the new horror? The original or the remake? Pick and watch your favorite.
19. I love those old classic horror movies, especially the silent films. Watch a movie from the 20s, 30s or 40s.
20. I was born in 1976 so I got to watch a ton of movies on VHS. Watch a movie from the 1970s.
21. I love John Hugh’s films and other 1980s movies. Watch a movie from the 1980s.
22. I love reading books just as much as I love watching movies. Watch a book to movie adaptation (graphic or comics excepted)
23. Would you marry a Serial Killer? (Watch a movie with a serial killer - or other slasher horrors).
24. “I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills/ Like a/ Science fiction (ooh-ooh-ooh) double feature” - make like the lips in Rocky Horror Picture Show and watch a Science Fiction Horror (or watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show).
25. I love the Turner Classic Movie channel (I’m super excited for their 31 Days of Oscar in March). Almost every Friday late at night (very late) they have TCM Underground. Watch one of the movies they aired.
26. Pick an animated horror movie.
27. I like those horror movies that are filled with suspense and twists. Watch a movie by M. Night Shyamalan or any thriller horror with a BIG twist.
