    Ahead of this film's release, the marketing and online discourse seem to indicate trouble in one particular regard: the potential redemption of Kylo Ren. Having listened to the "For Your Consideration" soundtrack album (which is quite good), some of the more elegiac renditions of his themes (he has two) seem to support this eventuality.

    Okay, its official: Star Wars has reached moral bankruptcy. Appearantly, giving Rey the kiss of life exonerates Kylo Ren of one account of patricide, two accounts of attempted avunculcide, one attempted matricide and dozens of homicides. Ya hear that, lawyers?

    Also, appearantly - all this time - this whole nine-film saga was building towards emperor Palpatine wanting to undergo sex change. Points for progressiveness, then?
