I liked this more than I thought I would surprisingly?? Like I wish I could really emerge myself in it, but with this and American Psycho - the people who these movies are about seem to get too into them because they think it's some kind of representation and a call for macho men to become what they need to be again is... appalling. Still, I felt what this was going for. A queer coded hyper masculine dark fantasy story pointing out society's faults. Sure, some things are a bit cringey in its interpretation, but overall I really dug a lot of it. Really great writing, which I'm pretty sure a majority came from the source material but I'm not for certain. Could have been gayer though.
