announcement: THE GOLDFINCH ISN’T EVEN THAT BAD! (oprah screaming gif) people are just mean and critics especially think that movies need to be 100% faithful to books. and yes it would have been better as a miniseries (the last act was definitely rushed) but i liked it. yeah it had some downsides (a plot that feels like it goes nowhere sometimes and some incoherent dialogue) but... maybe the bad reviews lowered my expectations so much i subsequently liked it when watching? whatever. i’m going to read the book now. love u ansel❤️
