I’m trying to remember the handful of movies I watched this 2020 summer pandemic lockdown, and I conveniently forgot this. They say forgetting is a defence mechanism. Let’s just say, I’m not doing Netflix party and chill again!!!
breezy eroticism of the hk 80s that swiftly decompensated to a senseless act of violence, but somehow it's very forgiveable (and maybe even is what the film wanted to portray)?!!! (that quick left turn reminds me of "comrades: almost a love story"). some really gold set-piece scenes (like from the house to the double-decker bus), and some scenes that had the potential to be more/add to the foreshadowing (like the kabuki scene, or the knife set in between the old lover and the new lover).
