Lulu’s review published on Letterboxd:
i watched this back in october 2016 when season 3 dropped on netflix and reviewed it here but it got deleted because it doesn't qualify as a movie by letterboxd standards, even though full miniseries like big little lies and top of the lake do. now that it won two emmys for tv movie, hopefully it'll stay here, so i'll reiterate what i said in my initial review: this is an extremely important piece of media, and i want to thank everyone involved for giving a bisexual woman and a lesbian the closest thing to a happy ending black mirror has ever done. i appreciate it, especially in a time when most series (cough the handmaid's tale) and movies revel in the over-the-top torture and killing of sapphic women. for a brief moment, san junipero made me feel like heaven is truly a place on earth.
