this is the best movie about midlife crisis ever made!!!! gorgeous gorgeous animation, great performances, genuinely funny jokes. i'm glad movies like this are still being made for kids! i even forgive the teaser ending on this because the only thing my 6 year old self and my current 24yo ass have in common is thinking the shrek franchise is worth the hype

a film that is also a memory, something you think you had forgotten but that comes to mind right after you wake up, when you're still in that haze. brief snapshots of a time and place, coated in love and nostalgia and sunscreen.
