All Quiet on the Wester Front is well-crafted but so hard to get through. It’s brutal and unforgiving. No one wins. This isn’t an American feature glorifying war. From the jump, you can feel the impending sense of doom.
Fantastic filmmaking. Raw performances. Macabre.
