Letterboxd — Your life in film

Mostly pretty weak, with some super strong moments. I really wish Disney would stop putting out first draft Star Wars projects, because the promise is always there, drowned under all the letdowns.

Solid old school horror.

As good as they say

This is one of the few I hadn’t seen previously, and now I know why. The plot is convoluted, characters are obnoxious and underdeveloped, and the whole thing feels inconsequential in a bad way. It’s better than the train wreck that is the first Thor movie, but not by much.

Regardless of all that, it was still fun to watch.

Phase 2 has a pretty rough start, but part of that may be personal bias. I don’t find Killian to be that interesting as a villain, the trauma arc for Tony feels underutilized, the story structure is pretty wonky, and I honestly just can’t stand Pepper. 

Overall, still pretty fun, but the weakest of the trilogy for me.

Far better than I remember, and an excellent finale to Phase One of the MCU.

Other than possibly The Avengers, my favorite of phase 1.

This made me want to rewatch Tokyo Story.
